Syncing with Slack

Integrating and how it works

With our Slack integration you can create employee accounts on our platform without having to manually transfer all employees to Moxso's hub. Once the integration is configured and the data mapping is complete, your data will be synced to the Moxso dashboard.

The users who are listed in Slack will be added to the Moxso platform. For new employees, we will create a new account on the platform and there will furthermore be sent an introduction email with information about our awareness training to new employees. Everything goes smoothly as the employees who match on Moxso and Slack (through email) are catalogued between the two systems.

In other words, if something is changed in Moxso, nothing in your directory in Slack would change because the integration only does a one-way synchronisation between the platforms. When something in Slack changes, e.g. a new employee is added, the Moxso platform will update immediately.

Enabling the Slack directory integration

Note: You must be your Slack account's administrator in order to finish the integration. You have two options before doing these things: either apply to be an admin or get help from your admin:

• Go to Workspace / Settings
• Click on “Connect to Slack” under the integrations section, you'll be redirected to the Slack portal to give permission to Moxso Sync.
• Sign in with the designated Slack service administrator account that has the global administrator role for this Slack directory. If required, complete Slack MFA for that admin account.
• Once you've signed in to Slack, you must click Accept to grant Moxso the rights we need to transfer users from your Slack domain.
• Authorising the Slack application redirects you back to the details page for your new Slack user directory sync in the Moxso Admin Panel.
• The "Slack Connection" should show as Connected and setup is completed.

With the new Moxso-integration, you can choose which groups and individuals should receive phishing simulations. It is recommended that you incorporate Moxso into your daily tasks so that you and your coworkers can learn to identify phishing scams and hackers.
