Directory syncSyncing with Microsoft Entra ID
Employees and groups sync automatically from Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) into your Moxso directory.
How does it work?
With the Microsoft Entra ID integration, you never transfer employees to Moxso by hand. Once the integration is installed and the data mapping is complete, your directory syncs to the Moxso dashboard automatically.
Everyone registered in Microsoft Entra ID gets a Moxso account. New hires are added automatically and receive an introduction email about their training — matched between the two platforms by email address.
The sync is strictly one-way: Moxso reads from Microsoft Entra ID and never writes back. A change in your directory — a new employee, a departure — appears in Moxso automatically; nothing you do in Moxso touches your directory.
Activating the Entra ID integration
You need global administrator rights on your Microsoft tenant to complete the integration — or your admin at your side for these steps:
- 01Go to Workspace ▸ Settings in Moxso.
- 02Under Integrations, choose "Connect to Microsoft Entra ID". You are redirected to Microsoft to authorize Moxso Sync in your tenant.
- 03Sign in with the administrator account that holds the global administrator role. Complete multi-factor authentication if required.
- 04Click Accept to grant Moxso the read-only rights needed to import users from your domain.
- 05You are redirected back to the new directory sync’s detail page in Moxso.
- 06The connection shows as Connected — setup is complete.
From there you choose which groups and people receive phishing simulations. The directory stays the single source of truth; Moxso follows it.
